When I'm not running my company or writing, or doing many of the other enjoyable things in life, I'm enjoying visual and auditory entertainment in the form of video games.
The way that a gaming company tends to work is very cyclical. Following this golden egg, expectations were massive for the company to lay another golden egg, this time in the form of Cyberpunk It became one of the most expected RPG games of all time. Back then, the founders hadn't got the first clue of how to actually go about developing a video game. Their first attempt was a self-described "piece of crap," which the company tried to pitch to several publishers without success.
The sequel came in , and received universal praise, selling nearly 2 million copies. The company's first challenge was overcoming the massive use of piracy in the polish market. The financial crisis hit, the company was forced to focus on the engine, which was also used for The Witcher 2. The company, at this time, also decided that the future would not include the Geralt character as the main character.
CD Projekt Might Actually Be A 'Buy' At The Right Price
This was when we still had our games on CDs or even Floppy disks. I always have been, since I was around years old over 30 years ago now. It's also the reason for my passion for art - bringing to life some of the visions of my favorite universes.
